I thought I’d do something a bit different and share all beauty related stuff I got in Los Angeles from Target and Sephora last year. It’s worth mentioning that I’m in no way an expert when it comes to make up and what works for me won’t necessarily work for someone else. These are just products that I’ve tried, tested and will repurchase by any given chance – thanks universe I’ll get to be in the States this year again.
1). Elf | Eyebrow Kit Light
I picked this up completely on a whim as I was on the look out for a new eyebrow product. There’s no day I’ve been not filling my brows with this incredible powder palette after combing my brows – I always build up a darker brow with both shades. I totally get that the heavier fuller brow isn’t everyone’s thing, but honestly I like my brows that way and I think that is what matters most – so just go for what you like when it comes to your look. I’ve already recommended this to anyone who will listen. Oh and it’s only about 4 bucks – that’s what I call a win-win situation.
2). Sonia Kashuk | Core Tools Brow Brush No 119
It’s the perfect tool for applying the elf eyebrow powder. I’ve heard good recommendations about Sonia Kashuk products, therefore I just went for it and I’m loving it!
3). Elf | Blush Mellow Mauve & Twinkle Pink
Mellow Mauve is just the most unique color I laid my hands on. I’ve been switching between the two shades (mellow mauve & twinkle pink) depending on the make up I was wearing for the past year – sadly I’ve “already” hit the pan.
4). Elf | Illuminating Palette
This palette contains three different colored bronzer and a highlighter. The shades are perfect – a few sweeps over my face and along my cheek bones gives me the perfect holiday glow. I also feel like this palette would be great for lots skin tones and it’s really buildable – and I’m a huge fan of the quality!
5). Rimmel | By Kate Lipstick (104 & 107)
My every day go-to is currently the Rimmel lasting finish by Kate in the number 104. I’ve been searching for such a color for so long – it’s the perfect dusky rose shade! But whenever I feel like a bold lip I love to wear the number 107. You should definitely check out the Rimmel by Kate lipsticks – there’s a beautiful shade for anyone!
6). Hourglass | Ambient Lighting Powder (Diffused Light)
This had been on my wish list for ages before I could finally test it at Sephora. I’ve heard a lot of great recommendations on this powder and I was really disappointed at first, but the more often you use it the better the product gets. I love this powder because it’s really light, so it never feels heavy and this glow – just amazing! Admittedly, it’s definitely a splurge, so this is the type I’d treat myself to every now and then, but it’s worth it!
7). OUAI | Texturizing Hair Spray; Wave Spray, Finishing Crème
The texturizing hair spray – a cult product that I’d seen in pretty much every bloggers collection that I follow, and I’m just kicking myself that it’s taken me this long to try it out. I got really excited that Sephora offers a “All the OUAI Up Kit” with all these amazing haircare products in a small size to test. The texturizing spray is this incredible mix of hairspray/dry shampoo miracle that manages to build such an amazing volume and I often use it just to refresh my hair before going out. Also my waves or curls holds way better when I spray this in last thing. I put the the wave spray to the roots every time right after I get out the shower for this incredible – I just got out of the ocean and my hair is perfectly waved – look.
8). Origins | Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask
I haven’t tried many Origins skincare products, but this mask has been my holy grail during this brutal cold winter months. It’s an ultra rich, hydrating nighttime mask, which you don’t take off – you just leave your skin absorb all the good stuff while sleeping. Amazing right? This mask contains Japanese seaweed, which repairs skin’s barrier to prevent future dehydration and the formula is also paraben and sulfate free. Get me some more!
I hope you enjoy learning a bit more about the products that have earned their place on my bathroom shelf. Hopefully there’s something here that you might want to try out & I’d love to know your fav’s in the comments down below.
